**JOB SUMMARY**
Within a small team, reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Sales Manager shares responsibility for driving commercial performance and maximizing revenue. Main areas of responsibility are in overseeing BtoB Sales in the Individual Special Corporate and Group Corporate segments. This involves prospecting and contacting companies both in Luxembourg and abroad from key feeder markets, assessing customer needs and creating solutions which may then form part of the value proposition proposed to the customer. These activities will involve developing a full portfolio of customers in those segments whilst liaising closely with the Marriott Global Sales Organization. This position will also be responsible for other segments including meetings and events and local catering so focusing on banquets and meeting room occupancy whilst also supporting Food and Beverage to develop sales at the Alfa Brasserie. Leisure business for groups and wholesalers will also form a component of this key role.
Key responsibilities include proactively soliciting and managing opportunities within all of these segments whilst also managing key customer relationships. The Sales Manager Actively seeks out opportunities and up-sells wherever possible to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provide service to our customers to grow share of the accounts on behalf of the company.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
- English & French Language Proficiency
- Experience within the Luxembourg market would be an advantage
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
**Understanding Markets & Maximizing Revenue**
+ Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
+ The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of managing their agenda productively and focusing on driving results.
+ Identifies new group/catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
+ Closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
+ Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
+ Gains understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event.
**Conducting Daily Sales Activities**
+ Manages their schedule to ensure the focus is placed on calling companies from within the different target segments to drive a calendar of contacts and visits and therefore increase the customer base
+ Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the property that are outside parameters of the Event Booking Center.
+ Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
+ Uses sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively.
+ Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
**Providing Exceptional Customer Service**
+ Supports the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
+ Services our customers in order to grow share of the account.
+ Executes and supports the company's Customer Service Standards and property's Brand Standards.
+ Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the brand.
+ Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.
+ Partners with Event Management and/or Operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customer's expectations.
+ Sets a positive example for guest relations.
+ Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
+ Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.
+ Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company.
**Building Successful Relationships**
+ Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Event Booking Center, Market Sales, Strategic Accounts) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
+ Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
+ Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities.
+ Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
+ Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
**Additional Responsibilities**
+ Utilizes intranet for resources and information.
+ Conducts site inspections.
+ Limited Business travel outside Luxembourg may be required
+ Creates contracts as required.
+ Participates in and practices daily service basics of the brand.
Please note: To be eligible for this position, you must hold EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or a valid work permit for Luxembourg.
A good command of French and English is essential. Luxembourgish and/or German are considered an asset depending on the role.

Votre profil :

Du bist das Gesicht von unserem Kunden in der DACH-Region – mit klarem Fokus auf Deutschland, insbesondere Bayern, Baden-Württemberg und Rheinland-Pfalz. Dein Ziel: unsere bestehenden Vertriebspartner vor Ort betreuen und neue Kunden für unsere hochwertigen Produkte gewinnen. Du bist über 50 % Deiner Zeit im Außendienst unterwegs – auch mehrtägige Reisen gehören für Dich zum Job dazu. Wenn Du gern eigenverantwortlich arbeitest, technische Produkte verstehst und Kunden langfristig entwickeln willst, bist Du bei uns genau richtig.

Deine Aufgaben:

Bestandskundenpflege:

  • Du betreust bestehende Distributoren und Handelspartner persönlich, stärkst die Zusammenarbeit und entwickelst das gemeinsame Geschäft weiter.

Neukundengewinnung:

  • Du identifizierst neue Potenziale innerhalb der DACH-Region – insbesondere auf dem deutschen Markt –, analysierst die Bedürfnisse potenzieller Kunden und überzeugst mit maßgeschneiderten, technischen Lösungen.

Vertrieb und Abschluss:

  • Du führst professionell Verkaufsgespräche, verhandelst sicher und bringst Abschlüsse konsequent zum Erfolg.

Marktpräsenz:

  • Du repräsentierst das Unternehmen bei Kundenterminen, auf Fachmessen und bei Präsentationen – mit technischem Know-how und Überzeugungskraft.

Teamwork:

  • Du arbeitest eng mit unserem Technik- und Innendienstteam zusammen, um Projekte reibungslos umzusetzen.

Das bringst du mit:

  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Außendienstvertrieb, idealerweise im technischen oder industriellen Umfeld – auch Junior-Profile mit mindestens 3 Jahren
  • Berufserfahrung im Vertrieb sind herzlich willkommen.
  • Erfahrung im Bereich Hebesysteme ist ein Plus.
  • Deutsch auf Muttersprachenniveau.
  • Reisebereitschaft für regelmäßige, auch mehrtägige Dienstreisen (vor allem in Süddeutschland).
  • Technisches Verständnis und Fähigkeit, erklärungsbedürftige Produkte überzeugend zu präsentieren.
  • Strukturierte, selbstständige Arbeitsweise sowie sicherer Umgang mit digitalen Tools (z. B. CRM-Systeme).
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse; Französisch ist von Vorteil.
  • Führerschein Klasse B.

  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im technischen Außendienst, idealerweise im Schaltanlagenbau, Anlagenbau oder der Elektroinstallation

This role can be based in the London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Munich or Berlin.
We are looking for bright and ambitious individuals to join the EU 3P Heavy Bulky team to make Amazon the preferred Heavy Bulky platform for our Customers and Sellers, a focus area for EU Amazon. In the 3P Heavy Bulky business we are constantly innovating to deliver best-in-class experience including premium services Scheduled Delivery (SD), Room of Choice (RoC), and additional services like installation, unpacking, recycling etc. to our customers that buy products such as fridges, sofas, large screen TVs, furniture etc. SellerFlex enables 3P Heavy Bulky Sellers to provide FBA parity customer experience whilst shipping from their own warehouse. The role will be responsible to define and execute strategies to bridge Customer and Seller experience gaps, and scale the EU SellerFlex program.
What is the role?
You will join us as a Senior Account & Project Manager (Chinese and English speaking) who will be responsible to launch and scale Multi SellerFlex (MSF) program in EU, a $1Bn+ opportunity. Key responsibilities will include defining the launch and expansion strategy, Topline ownership, 3Y planning, whilst identifying, launching and managing 3P warehouse providers. You will own initiatives to improve EU HB Customer and Seller experience.
This role can be flexibly performed from London, Luxembourg, Munich, Madrid, or Milan.
Key job responsibilities
1) Develop and implement the EU Multi SellerFlex (MSF) launch strategy by leveraging insights from the ongoing soft launch
2) Lead end-to-end Third-party logistics (3PL) management which will include identifying, assessing and onbaording qualified 3PLs on MSF
3) Own Topline (unit/GMS) leadership goal
4) Manage EU SellerFlex program performance
5) Lead business reviews and reporting
6) Serve as EU MSF representative in CN forums to enhance program visibility and drive adoption
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluency in Chinese and English language
- Experience in launching and managing medium-large scale projects
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, or MBA in business
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience leading process improvements
