As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will enable the creation of products that drive ever-greater automation, scale-ability and optimization of every aspect of EU AMXL Network Planning. You will identify opportunities and implement changes to improve network's performance, simplify processes, and leverage existing resources. Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.
We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

We provide the data insights that help manage our fleet of tens of thousands of delivery vans and trucks - one of the largest and most admired parcel carriers in the world. We're looking for a customer-obsessed Senior Manager of Business Intelligence Engineering (BIE) to lead our EU team. As a critical leader on the GFPA team, you'll manage a local team of tech pros (mainly BIEs) supporting our internal EU/UK customers, with support from our Global (NA-based) team of Data Engineers, BIEs, and product/program managers. You'll develop and lead new technical solutions and influence business-critical decisions across multiple organizations and geographies.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be an excellent developer of tech talent, a committed relationship manager with customers, a diligent prioritizer, a top-notch communicator (written and verbal), and a creative problem solver extraordinaire. Have you ever wondered how Amazon delivers so quickly, or if delivery speeds could improve even further? In the Amazon EU Supply Chain Placement Analytics & Engineering team, we drive innovation for our customers to enhance product availability and speed while reducing costs and carbon emissions. This role will give an unique view into Amazon Inventory Placement systems, processes, and operations, enabling collaboration with planning, operations, and technical teams. Among others, you will have the opportunity to simplify our supply chain network to deliver faster and cheaper. If you excel at understanding complex systems and have a proven track record of analyzing data to generate insights and business recommendations at scale, we'd like to talk to you.
This position is based out of our EU Headquarters in Luxembourg.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain metrics to evaluate and enhance Inventory Placement's systems.
- Create analytical tools and processes to accelerate insights and automation.
- Drive placement strategy improvements using data modeling and analysis to optimize product spread across Amazon facilities, enhancing selection and reducing customer delivery distance.
- Collaborate with technology teams to define key priorities to accommodate growing business needs and implement recommendations through new features and/or configurations.
- Research, develop, document and present new opportunities to all levels of Supply Chain, Finance, Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) and Retail leadership.
A day in the life
- Collaborate with a diverse team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Program or Product Managers and Finance Analysts to develop effective metrics and analytical tools that address business goals.
- Partner with Business and Tech teams to prioritize impactful insights.
- Explore systems while performing anecdotes to understand concrete root causes.
- Scale findings from anecdotes to understand its impact and respective prioritization.
- Conduct data driven experiments to accelerate innovation.
- Perform analysis at scale with new metric cuts and/or statistical models.
- Explore AI to accelerate generation of insights.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis

Senior Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst - CDI

Role responsibilities:

  • Implementation of WKFS applications/modules
  • Support the implementation of new regulations impacting regulatory reporting section
  • Development of interfaces between Olympic Core banking Systems and WKFS-DF
  • Serve as regulatory reporting analyst in assessing the accuracy of reports based on current regulations
  • Act as an “intermediary” between the Finance department and other departments (Risk department, IT) when addressing bank matters impacting regulatory reporting assignments
  • Participating in CSSF, BCL and CBI reports production
  • Supporting Risk Department in various technical mattes and preparation of Regulatory reports

Your profile:

  • Good knowledge of WKFS reg-Reporting, WKFS data Model: data foundation, mapping, interface
  • Expertise in databases and data warehouses (Oracle, MS SQL server)
  • Ability to identify relevant data sources and implement efficient data retrieval mechanisms
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis
  • Excellent understanding of expertise in IFRS & regulatory matters
  • Good analytical and strong organizational skills;
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with various counterparts (supervisors, IT units)

LE POSTE :


For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a:

Data Management & Reporting Officer



Support the modernisation of the institution Reporting & Analytics, the extension of BCBS239 compliance scope, and the implementation of data quality and digitalisation initiatives.

The role will contribute to the migration of legacy reporting systems, enhancement of data governance frameworks, and enablement of new IT tools aligned with the institution Group standards.

Reporting line: The incumbent(s) will report to and work under the supervision of the Head of the Data & IT Tools Unit

Responsibilities:

1. Reporting & Analytics Modernisation and BCBS239 Scope Extension

• Assist in the migration of data and reports to the Group Data Warehouse (GDWH), ensuring decommissioning of legacy Business Objects universes;

• Support the expansion of BCBS239 compliance to Financial Statements and Pillar III reports through detailed data mapping and control framework adaptation;

• Apply Group Reporting Governance principles to critical reports developed in Business Object, Tableau and Power BI;

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate implementation of BCBS239 in the institution.



2. Data Quality Control Implementation

• Design and implement new or improved data quality checks in IT tools, proactively addressing inconsistencies;

• Assist in compiling evidence of controls execution for critical report and mandate reports;

• Contribute to the identification and log of data quality or report production issues and close monitoring to close the issues;

• Contribute to documentation, control testing, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high data quality standards;



3. Digitalisation Support

• Participate in testing and feedback cycles for tactical tooling related to Data Quality, Data Glossary, and Data Lineage;

• Assist in mapping and validating data migration into new IT tools, ensuring alignment with the institution data structures;

• Follow up on change requests, releases, and access rights reviews to support business ownership of IT tools;

• Contribute to the deployment and maintenance of digital solutions within the institution.



PROFIL RECHERCHÉ :


• University degree, preferably at postgraduate level, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar fields;

A minimum of three (3) years' proven experience in data management, reporting, or analytics within a financial or regulatory environment;

Familiarity with BCBS239 principles and their application in reporting frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, reconciliation processes, and governance structures.

• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Hands-on experience with Business Object, Tableau, Power BI, and data warehouse environments.

• Familiarity with SharePoint or willingness to learn.

Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written . Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity for an initial contract of 2 months, with extensions afterwards.

Salary ranges between 4,500€ and 6,500€ gross per month, depending on experience.
